Though the entire population has been disadvantaged by the pandemic, the report highlights the disproportionate effect that COVID-19 has had on those with disabilities.
Coronavirus has not only made disabled people less happy and more anxious than non-disabled people but it has also meant that those with disabilities struggle to get medicines, doctor’s appointments, groceries and other essentials.
We must put inclusivity at the forefront of our recovery from the pandemic and remember just how much disabled people have sacrificed over the last year.
